Will Chalhoub joins Kloster BMW as Sales Manager

The latest addition to be welcomed into the Kloster BMW and Kloster Mini family will be a familiar face to many in the Newcastle community, and for all the right reasons. Local Novocastrian, Will Chalhoub has been appointed as Sales Manager for these prestige brands.

The Chalhoub family name is well known within the A.P. Eagers Newcastle and Hunter Division - Will joins brothers Daniel, Kloster BMW Dealer Principal and Andre, Kloster Hyundai Sales Manager.

Will is certainly no stranger to the motor industry, having clocked up fifteen years of sales experience after joining Lexus straight from Saint Francis Xavier’s School at seventeen when older brother Daniel saw the potential in him whilst working as General Manager of Lexus Newcastle. He learnt quickly and found that he had a natural ability to look after customers by listening, showing respect to each person’s individual needs and backing this up with sound knowledge of the brand.

Feeling a little spoilt by entering into the car industry at a prestige level and craving experience on a broader level, he spent time working with used vehicles before returning to Lexus Newcastle, followed by Audi Centre Newcastle  and Mercedes-Benz Newcastle.

His experience sets him in good stead for this new chapter of his career, but don’t be fooled by the tag of Sales Manager in a prestige dealership - Will remains grounded. When asked what he brings to Kloster BMW and Kloster Mini, he says “Although I have achieved a lot at a young age, most importantly I still possess the will to learn more. I consider myself to be a student of the motor industry where my experience and knowledge can be imparted upon my team, to help support their ongoing growth and development.”

Healthy, authentic relationships are incredibly important to Will, be it personal or professional - his former Manager is the Godfather to his daughter. “It’s what underpins the motor industry. You have to be invested in your customers and go the extra mile; this is what keeps you memorable. This is how I’ve become so familiar with prestige car owners in Newcastle and the reason why I’m proud to say that many of these relationships span well over a decade.”

The motor industry can have its highs and lows, so what is it that keeps Will so committed to automotive? “My passion is customer satisfaction. It’s not just about selling a car, it’s about the entire process from engaging with the customer when they walk into our showroom and making their experience enjoyable, to seeing them come back regularly for their services. These repeat touchpoints are how we get to know our customers. The cherry on the top is when I receive incredible feedback about the people throughout the dealership who have contributed towards an exceptional customer experience.”

So how is he settling in? “Really well. I’ve been made to feel so welcome by the team here and I can see why my brothers are so passionate about their roles in the business. Although there is a lot to do, it feels great to know that I am taking over this role in a well-established and reputable dealership with the scope for me to achieve my aspiration of progressing to General Manager in the future. I’m very excited about the journey ahead.”
